Discover Temple recently hosted the Texas Beekeepers Association, which promotes the common interests and the general welfare of beekeeping through education, advocacy, and sustainability for the honeybees and beekeepers in Texas.

For their Annual Convention, Temple welcomed over 350 attendees for this 3-day event that brought in an estimated economic impact of $62,150 into the Temple community. Sessions and workshops were held at The Frank W. Mayborn Convention Center, the adjacent Cultural Activities Center, and the grounds between the buildings located right off the easily accessible I-35. By utilizing the locations of the convention center and the adjacent building, this convention highlights the versatility of space and what type of group or convention can host an event in Temple. The central location offers insights into why Temple is a great place to host a convention.

“The Texas Beekeepers Association has held their Annual Convention twice at the Mayborn Convention Center in Temple, Texas, with great results.  The central location in the state and competent staff at the convention center and DMO office have made for a successful convention each time -- and we will be back.”

Discover Temple was honored to assist them with their needs as they hosted such an impactful educational conference.
