Play to win and play in Temple! Temple’s sports facilities and recreational centers have the space for your sporting events, whether you’re playing for competition or a friendly game between colleagues and friends. Temple has hosted several sporting events and tournaments for softball, basketball, golf, volleyball, archery, and soccer. Our top-of-the-line sports venues are surpassed only by the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff available through Temple’s Parks and Recreation Department. 

The City of Temple is home to 13 baseball fields, 12 softball fields, 13 soccer fields, 11 tennis courts, 2 indoor basketball courts, 2 golf courses and 3 disc golf courses. A fourth public disc golf course can be found in Belton. Area colleges such as Temple College and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor are supportive of the athletic events hosted in Central Texas, and the use of these facilities is always a crowd-pleaser. For additional indoor facilities, visitors can look to the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center and the Bell County Expo Center.
