This holiday season, downtown Temple transforms into a winter wonderland with Rink on the Rails, a real ice rink right in the heart of the city! Glide, spin, and laugh your way into a new holiday tradition at the MLK Festival Grounds.

Whether you’re making memories with family, sharing a magical date night, or enjoying some frosty fun with friends, this outdoor rink is the perfect place to celebrate the season. So lace up your skates, grab some hot cocoa, and get ready to make your holidays merry and bright right here in downtown Temple!

Know Before You Go

  • Dress for the weather: The rink is outdoors and made of real ice, so bundle up and wear cozy socks and gloves.

  • Arrive early: Skating sessions are first-come, first-served and may fill up during peak times.

  • Parking: Free parking is available nearby.

  • Spectators welcome: Not skating? Enjoy the festive lights, music, and cheerful atmosphere from the sidelines.
