Our heads are in the clouds over the next big event in Temple! Get ready for the City Of Temple's Draughon-Miller 75th Anniversary Air Show, honoring the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport's 75th Anniversary and the men our airport was named after. This family-friendly event will feature vendors, activities, and more.

The Draughon-Miller 75th Anniversary Airshow will move forward rain or shine! The City of Temple is hoping to see lots of sunshine and warm weather, but event attendees should plan for rain on Saturday, May 13th. The Kid Zone, Helicopter Rides, Vendor Booths, Food Trucks, and Static Display activities will be in full swing at the event. Aerial performances are currently on the schedule to take place but are subject to change to ensure the safety of all pilots and event attendees.

This City of Temple event will take place at the airport. The special event features vendor booths, activities for the whole family, airplanes, information about the local airport, and plenty of ways to make memories with your family flight crew. This year's air show is significant because it honors and celebrates the 75th anniversary of our regional airport. 

This local family-friendly event will feature aircraft models both old and new, food trucks, helicopter rides, a kid zone, airplane static displays, and live aeronautical performances.

Experience Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport like never before and witness the marvel of planes as they soar through the sky. 

Tickets to the festival can be purchased online for the event. Purchase tickets by visiting our City of Temple page.

Purchase your tickets online to get a discounted ticket price. General Admission tickets for those 18 and up are $15 per person. For children's admission to the event, ages 6 to 17, tickets are $10 per child. Veterans and Active Duty admission is $10 per ticket with a valid military ID shown at the gate. The price for tickets goes up for purchases made at the gate. General Admission will be $20 at the gate. 

 

When Does The Air Show Take Place? What Time Does It Start?

The air show takes place on Saturday, May 13. 

The air show and its associated activities will begin at 9 AM and last until 5 PM. Parking gates for the event will open at 8 AM.

The Draughon-Miller 75th Anniversary Air Show will be an outdoor event featuring many activities outside for the family. The May timeline will provide warm weather so guests should prepare for the outdoor heat and take caution by applying plenty of sunscreen, chapstick, and wearing hats and sunglasses for extra shade from the sun. The temperatures will be rising so be sure to wear light, comfortable clothes and remember to stay hydrated.

Parking will be first come, first served. Space will be available on the lot and parking volunteers will help assist and direct event attendees on where to park for the event. To better secure a parking spot, attendees should plan to arrive early.
