Temple Children's Museum is a great attraction for kids, aged 0-8, year-round. Children experience playtime with sensory objects and activities that work on developing cognitive skills, motor skills, and more. Temple Children's Museum will be open March 14th through the 19th from 9-11 am each day. Tickets for children cost $7. The first adult attending has free admission with additional adult tickets priced at $10. The museum also offers private weekday sessions. These 1.5 hour sessions can be booked by calling the Education Director at 254.500.7617. Private weekday sessions are $100 for up to 15 children. Weekend private sessions for up to 15 children are priced at $250.
Temple Railroad & Heritage MuseumBack to Top of List
Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum will be hosting a Spring Break Day on Wednesday, March 16th from 10 am to 2 pm. The event is free to the public and your child can work on arts and crafts, explore the museum, and play with other children. If you can't make it to this fun event, stop by the museum any other day of Spring Break week and learn all about Temple's history! March 16th will also be the final day of the current featured exhibit, Aliento a Tequila. Museum admission will be free on March 16th in addition to the exciting Spring Break Day event. Want more train-themed fun? Centra MOD model railroad club will be open on March 16th.

Get the family together and head to one of Temple's arcades or adventure parks. Spare Time has endless possibilities for family fun. Rent a bowling lane or play in the arcade. Want to do something sporty? Hit the batting cages and practice your swing. Or, drive around the go kart track for an experience that will leave you feeling excited and ready for more. Head to Belton Lake at one of Temple's free access points. Splash around in the water or simply enjoy the warm weather as you lounge in the sun. Want to make the afternoon more fun? Rent a boat and take the family out for a cruise around the lake. Belton Lake is a sight to see. Spending a Spring Break afternoon on the lake and in the sun is the perfect way to enjoy the weather. While you're out enjoying Belton Lake, don't forget to snap a photo at the mural on the dam or at the overlook spot where visitors and locals have put their own personal touch to the metal fencing in the form of padlocks. Attend the Paws on the Plaza EventBack to Top of List
Paws On The Plaza is a special event taking place on the Santa Fe Plaza in Downtown Temple. This event is held in honor of National Puppy Day and gives recognition to man's best friend and our furry companions. Paws On the Plaza is fun for both the dogs and the family. Free to attend and family-friendly, the event is a must-see attraction during this Spring Break. There will be vendors, a dog treat trail, photo opportunities, and so much more!
CentraMODBack to Top of List
The CentraMOD model railroad club will be open for viewing on Saturday, March 19th. CentraMOD is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The building is located next to the Santa Fe Depot in the downtown district at 403 W. Ave. B. Admission to see the model train displays is free. Visitors are able to see some impressive displays showcasing the trains, a layout of Temple, and some of Temple's historic buildings. Be sure to stop by the Moody Depot for a train display you won't want to miss. CentraMOD will also be opening on March 16th for Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum's Spring Break Day.
Santa Fe PlazaBack to Top of List
The Santa Fe Plaza has a gorgeous green lawn that makes the perfect spot to lounge around on a warm, spring day. This free activity is lots of fun for children of all ages who love to play outdoors and splash around in the fountains.

Want to stay outdoors as much as possible to soak up all the sunshine and warm weather? Look no further. Temple is home to over 65 parks and trails. Check out Whistle Stop Park for a fun, train-themed playground or head to Lions Park for an afternoon of disc golf, walking, and playing. Visitors to the area can also go geocaching or play in the water at Creekside Park located in Belton.
Do you love classic cartoons on a saturday morning? The Beltonian Theatre in Belton has Breakfast at the Beltonian events every Saturday morning beginning at 8 am. Enjoy delicious breakfast items, Peggy's Coffee House coffee, and mimosas for the parents.
