How and Where We'll Use Your Photos

Discover Temple is dedicated to promoting travel and tourism to Temple, Texas. We rely on a network of partners and supporters to tell the story of the area in accurate and compelling ways.

A key partner is a local or visitor to Temple who shares their experiences through social media. Our organization cannot begin to capture all that there is to know about and do across Bell County, so we rely on others’ willingness to give us sharing permissions for their work.

Most commonly, we will ask for the following usage rights from users with public social media profiles:

Website Galleries/ Embeds

This permission grants Discover Temple:

  • the right to use the image(s) with attribution on Discover Temple's website, in a gallery, as a single-photo embed within a blog, or as a story header photo. 

Social Channels/Website

This permission grants Discover Temple:

  • The rights included in the “Website Galleries/Embeds” permission, and
  • the right to use the image(s) with attribution on any of its owned social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

Digital and/or Printed Marketing Efforts

This permission grants Discover Temple:

  • The rights included in the “Website Galleries/Embeds” and “Social Channels” permissions, and
  • the right to use the image(s) with attribution in any of its digital or printed marketing materials used to promote and/or increase awareness of Discover Temple, including but not limited to its printed Visitor Guide, digital newsletter, electronic billboard, rack cards, social media advertising campaigns, TV advertising, etc.

What is NOT included in these permissions?

Discover Temple will not:

  • Sell your image to 3rd parties
  • Give permission to 3rd parties to use your photo
  • Use your photo in any money-making projects
