Get ready for an exhilarating adventure at the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport, brought to you by the City of Temple! This not-to-be-missed family-friendly event is packed with excitement, featuring an array of vendor booths, engaging activities for all ages, an up-close look at airplanes, insightful information about the local airport, and endless opportunities to create unforgettable memories with your family flight crew.

Prepare to be amazed by jaw-dropping aerial feats performed by industry experts and marvel at the beauty of vintage classics alongside the innovation of cutting-edge aircraft. On Friday night, expect to enjoy a concert and watch the sky light up with a dazzling drone show. Join the City of Temple for an evening of live music from Jon Wolfe. And don't miss a special guest appearance by Carson Jeffrey.

Saturday and Sunday's festivities will include a variety of food trucks to satisfy your cravings, a kid zone packed with fun, airplane static displays for aviation enthusiasts, and live aeronautical performances that will leave you in awe.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport like never before. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Friday Only (Concert and Drone Show)

    • 18 years and older. Ticket is valid for single day admission. $15 plus fees online. $20 at the gate.
  • AirFest (One Day Pass)

    • 18 years and older. Ticket is valid for single day admission on either Saturday, May 18, or Sunday, May 19. $15 plus fees online. $20 at the gate. Veterans and Active Duty (must show valid military ID at the gate only) admission is $10.
  • Children Admission

    • Ages 6 to 17. $10.

Note: Chidren aged 5 and under enter for free when accompanied by a paid adult ticket holder.

When Does The Air Show Take Place? What Time Does It Start?

The air show occurs from Friday, May 17, through Sunday, May 19.

Friday, May 17

Concert and Drone Show take place from 6 PM to 10 PM.

Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19

AirFest, vendors, static displays, and more will take place from 9 AM to 5 PM. The parking gates for the event will open at 8 AM.

What Can You Bring To The Air Show?

The Central Texas Airfest will be an outdoor event featuring many activities for the family. The May timeline will provide warm weather, so guests should prepare for the outdoor heat and take caution by applying plenty of sunscreen and wearing hats and sunglasses for extra shade from the sun. The temperatures will be rising, so be sure to wear light, comfortable clothes and remember to stay hydrated.

Pack smart for the event. Guests can bring:

  • Portable chairs
  • Strollers
  • Cameras
  • Cash or Cards for concessions
  • Sunscreen
  • Earplugs
  • Blankets
  • Handheld Umbrellas 

Professional photo or video equipment is not permitted.

Parking will be first come, first served. Space will be available on the lot and parking volunteers will help assist and direct event attendees on where to park for the event. To better secure a parking spot, attendees should plan to arrive early.
