What is Petals and Pints?

This City of Temple festival is a family-friendly event that takes place in downtown Temple. This special event features live music from many great bands, singers/songwriters, on-site food, and local arts and crafts vendors. This year marks the first Petals and Pints festival. Due to its fun activities and convenient location, Petals and Pints is guaranteed to be one of the greatest spring events happening in Central Texas this year. 

Petals & Pints will have special activities at each of the venue locations. Visitors can share in the excitement as they prepare to listen to incredible music from local and well-known bands, see fascinating cars, enjoy family-friendly activities, and discover what blooms and brews are all about in Temple, Texas. 

There will also be a live mural painting done by Lace and Found. Two humanoid robots, Benjo and Stewie, will be roaming around, interacting with guests.

Interactive attractions will include a reptile exhibit, cornhole tournament, artist alley showcasing local artists, 80+ vendors across the footprint, music bingo, trivia, and more!

Experience laughter, fun, and entertainment at this local event you won’t want to miss. 

Petals & Pints is a free public event that welcomes both local residents and visitors. The Special Events team in the City of Temple has worked diligently to organize performances and activities that cater to families, while keeping a strong focus on community engagement. Their goal is to ensure that the festival remains accessible and free for everyone.

Petals & Pints takes place on March 21 from 2 PM to 8 PM.

The car show will take place from 2 PM to 8 PM, with judging happening from 3 PM to 6 PM and winners announced at 6:30 PM. There will also be live performances and music by various bands throughout the day on each of the four stages.

Get ready for an exciting event at Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Market Trail, and The Yard Food Truck Plaza.! Join us for a day filled with vibrant entertainment, thrilling activities, and live music on four fantastic stages: the Main Stage, Firewheel Stage, Family Activity Stage, and Bluebonnet Stage. Throughout the event grounds, you'll find cozy seating areas perfect for relaxing with friends while soaking up the atmosphere. These charming spots will be adorned with beautiful custom flower installations, providing fantastic photo opportunities that you won’t want to miss! Local breweries and wineries will be in attendance to emphasize the festival's "pints" aspect. In attendance will be Bold Republic Brewing, Bird Creek Brewing, Nolan Creek Brewery, 3 Texans Winery, 3rd Level Brewing, Dancing Bee WineryBJ's Brewery, and more.

The brewery lineup for this year's event spans from Dallas to Houston. There will be 12+ craft breweries on-site, plus a booth for the Texas Craft Brewers Guild. Notice the name sounds familiar? The Texas Craft Brewers Guild gave Temple its designation as part of the Brew City, TX, program through Discover Temple last year. 

There will also be an expansive beer garden designed as a central destination for the event. This space will include an interactive experience from Sammons Golf Course featuring complimentary mini golf lessons, a second food truck location, and picnic tables with umbrellas to create an authentic beer garden atmosphere. 

The car show will occur at the Santa Fe Plaza from 3:30 PM to 6 PM. Visitors can check out the cars and marvel at the classics, sports, and all-around fascinating cars. The car show is fun for all members of the family, especially car enthusiasts and transportation lovers. For vehicles entering the car show competition, judging will begin at 4 PM. The top four vehicles and a People's Choice Winner will receive awards, so visit the car show and vote on your favorite car. 

Cornhole Tournament

Petals & Pints will feature a cornhole tournament. Warm up begins at 1 PM, before we let the bags fly at 2:30 PM. 

To participate, teams must be checked in by 1 PM with on-site event staff. This is a double elimination bracket tournament with teams of two. For teams that don't have a PPR, they will be automatically registered as 6.5 PPR to keep an even playing field. The entry fee for those interested is $40 per team paid by card at check-in.

What Can You Bring?

Petals & Pints is an outdoor, special event which means you're going to be spending a lot of time in the sun and around the event area. We recommend guests apply sunscreen before leaving the house and be prepared with sunglasses and/or hats to help block some of the sun's rays. Guests can bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to the event to sit on grassy areas. Clear bags are not required but are recommended. ADA service animals can attend the event. The temperatures will be rising so be sure to wear light, comfortable clothes, stay hydrated, and apply plenty of sunscreen. 

To ensure everyone gets the best experience at Petals & Pints, we kindly discourage bringing coolers. Grab a pint and enjoy the great selection of brews available on-site!

Guests should be respectful and courteous to the event venues and staff. The following items are prohibited from the event:

  • Unauthorized vendors and solicitors and materials, including handbills, stickers, giveaways, samples, etc.
  • Weapons (except legally permitted firearms)
  • Glass bottles/containers
  • Personal grills
  • Drones or any other remote flying device
  • Explosives or other hazardous items
  • Non-collapsible chairs
  • Laser pens or other similar products
  • Tents, canopies, or shade structures of any kind (personal umbrellas are okay)
  • Coolers
  • Outside food and drink
