3 Texans 

3 Texans is a family-owned winery and vineyard located in Temple. The vineyard was created in 2009 with the planting of 4,000 grapevines. An additional 1,000 grapevines has been planted since its opening and a tasting room was added in 2019. With an outdoor patio and indoor space, guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting overlooking the vineyards on the patio or in the air conditioning. The 3 Texans Winery has an exquisite selection of flavors boasting decadent aromas and berry tastes. Enjoy a wine flight that allows you to sample five different wines for the low cost of $15. Want the perfect pairing of cheese to go with your wine? 3 Texans sells a charcuterie board for $22. This local vineyard is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 7 PM.

This winery also hosts a few special events and live performances throughout the year. On July 30th guests can stop by the vineyard for live music and tasty food from 1 PM to 4 PM. Gabor Nicholson will be performing and Mama Lama food truck will be at the winery all day. 

Moose & Goose Winery 

Moose & Goose Winery is another great winery found in Temple. This winery is open in July by appointment only. If you're looking to stop by for Wine & Cheese Day you may have to book an appointment or wait until after this national day to experience this local winery. Moose & Goose Winery's next open dates will be August 1-14. Wine flights are available for $10 and include two 4 oz pours. Sample some local favorites, enjoy a wine tasting, or bask in the summer sun on the patio with a glass of wine you’ve never tried before.   

Dancing Bee Winery 

The Dancing Bee Winery is located at Walker Honey Farm. What makes this winery unique is its honey wine that uses honey locally harvested from the bee populations found on the farm. This winery is located a short drive away in Rogers, TX. This sweet honey wine is sure to leave your taste buds soaring. The Dancing Bee Winery offers a wine tasting of six samples for $10. A charcuterie board is also available for purchase with prices varying from $8 to $20. Dancing Bee Winery is open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM. 

The Vineyard at Florence 

This gorgeous vineyard is located forty minutes away and is open Friday from 4 to 9 PM, Saturday from 12 to 9 PM, and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM. Take time to sip a delicious wine on the patio or take it to go in a classy bottle for an on-site picnic. The Vineyard at Florence is a picturesque landscape that sparks true romance and happiness. This spot is an ideal place to celebrate Wine and Cheese Day with a significant other.

Wineries Around Central Texas

The Salado Winery, Salado Lone Star Winery, and Axis Winery are all located in the nearby city of Salado. Located twenty-two minutes away in Lorena is the Country Spring Vineyard. Take a half-hour trip outside of Temple to visit these wineries and try something new.
