Nosferatu and House on Haunted Hill
Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror is a 1922 silent German Expressionist horror film directed by F. W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck as Count Orlok, a vampire with an interest in both a new residence and the wife of his estate agent. The film is an unauthorized and unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula. The film came to be regarded as an influential masterpiece of cinema.
House on Haunted Hill stars Vincent Price and Carol Ohmart. Price plays an eccentric millionaire, Frederick Loren, who, along with his wife Annabelle, has invited five people to the house for a “haunted house” party. Whoever stays in the house for one night will earn $10,000. As the night progresses, the guests are trapped within the house with an assortment of terrors.
