From races and feasts to comedy nights and shopping, Temple has activities and fun events you can participate in all week. Comedy Open Mic Night is back at Corkys with a special twist. This themed comedy open mic night features delicious food, time with friends, and all the jokes you can handle. The Friendsgiving comedy night takes place on Wednesday, November 23rd.  Corkys will supply the turkey and the perfect stage setup, while visitors and customers are encouraged to bring sides and plenty of laughs for this night of comedy before the holiday. Sign-ups for stage time are at 7:30 PM, with the comedy show and feast beginning at 8 PM. Enjoy the humor, friends, and a night out in downtown Temple.

Want to get an energetic and lively start to your Thanksgiving? The Carlson Law Firm Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K provides the perfect opportunity to exercise before enjoying a big feast with the family later in the evening. The Turkey Trot 5K takes place on November 24th at 8 AM. The race begins at the soccer side of Crossroads Park Athletics Complex. You'll enjoy the Thanksgiving Day feast to the fullest after completing this 5K race. 

For fans of nightlife and downtown Temple's finest bars, Green Door On Second will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 7 PM to 2 AM. Stop by and enjoy a late night drink, a game of pool, or the company of friends on Thanksgiving.

Your favorite neighborhood beer garden is back at it again with an event you won't want to miss! Stop by FoxDog on November 25th at 5 PM for A Very FoxDog Post Thanksgiving Feast. FoxDog is providing the turkey and encouraging guests to bring their favorite sides and desserts. Gather at FoxDog will friends and family to enjoy delicious food, a good time, and the best company. 

Black Friday is full of deals and intense shopping sprees, but there is one more thing you can do in Temple to make it even more fun. Total Elegance Creations in downtown Temple is hosting a Black Friday Comedy Showcase. The comedy event starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $25. This comedy showcase will fill your night with laughter and fun. 

Shop Small Saturday is November 26th. This annual shopping campaign is a way to promote local businesses in the community. Downtown Temple is hosting a reception in honor of Shop Small Saturday at Precious Memories beginning at noon. This reception will feature refreshments, Christmas cheer and announce the winner of the Christmas decorating contest in downtown Temple. It's also the perfect opportunity to shop for holiday decor at Precious Memories and check out other local businesses in the downtown district like The Hub, Lenna Lane Boutique, the Parlour Antiques & Oddities, and many more!

After you check out the Small Business Saturday Reception, head to 1st St in downtown Temple for a Small Business Saturday Vendor Market.  The vendor market is hosted by Fire Base Brewing Co. and will be held from 12 PM to 5 PM. Shop for unique gifts for friends and family with local vendors, and enjoy a craft beer at Fire Base Brewing Co. while you visit the area.
