Downtown Temple is going through a revitalization phase featuring new businesses, expansions, redevelopment, and renovations. Each year Downtown Temple and the Temple Main Street Program highlight all the upcoming businesses, available spaces, and interesting spaces that Downtown Temple has to offer. This year, the Imagine The Possibilities tour featured 26 stops. 

The 2023 Imagine the Possibilities Tour in downtown Temple was a resounding success, offering attendees a glimpse into the city's vibrant future. From exploring historic landmarks to witnessing ongoing revitalization projects and supporting local businesses, participants left the event excited about the endless possibilities that downtown Temple holds. With a collective vision and dedicated community engagement, the city is well on its way to becoming a destination that not only preserves its rich heritage but also embraces innovation and growth. The Imagine the Possibilities Tour served as a catalyst for this transformation, uniting stakeholders and sparking enthusiasm for the bright future of downtown Temple.

First Christian Church

300 N 5th St.

First Christian Church showcased its future plans for the restoration of its historic building.

Architectural Plan Review

315 N 3rd St.

Once a chiropractic office, this new business revealed its future improvement plans for turning this building into an architectural industry business.

Melody's Brunch & Bar

116 S 1st St.

Talk about delicious brunch and a classy environment.  Melody's Brunch & Bar recently opened and features an excellent brunch menu. Melody's will be serving cocktails soon, so visitors can go for a drink or head to downtown Temple early for breakfast.

Lenna Lane

118 S 1st St.

Lenna Lane has been open in downtown Temple for a few months now and we couldn't be more excited to feature this business. Offering boutique clothes and a unique, hat bar experience, Lenna Lane was able to showcase its renovations and classy boutique at the Imagine The Possibilities tour.

HatTrick

217 N Main St.

Score one for HatTrick! This local sports bar and indoor soccer facilities in an excellent new addition to downtown Temple. The building was once an old electronics store and has now been revitalized and transformed into an indoor soccer pitch and bar.

Lagniappe

111 N Main St.

Located in the retail space of The Kyle near The Parlour Antiques & Oddities is Lagniappe. A bridal store with a little something special. This bridal store is opening soon in downtown Temple. As the only bridal store in downtown Temple, we expect great things are ahead for Lagniappe.

KPA Engineers

19 N Main St.

KPA has done a lot of excellent work in downtown Temple. At the tour, KPA Engineers showcased some of the many public projects they've worked on that will help facilitate private downtown development.

Travis Wilkes Building

9 N Main St.

This building is recently remodeled and is available for lease.

Bon Bon Market

2 S Main St.

This repurposed building will be a new Asian mini-market and is expected to open in June 2023. Bon Bon Market offers plants, flowers, Asian foods and products, and fresh pressed juices.

Chupacabra Strength & Conditioning

201 S Main St.

The local gym has been open in downtown Temple for a few months and has given those in the downtown district the opportunity to prioritize their wellness with fitness classes and open gym time. 

Relics Antiques

202 S Main St.

This year brought new changes for Relics Antiques. The business relocated and remains a popular downtown antiques store.

Main Street Design & Consign

204 S Main St.

Main Street Design & Consign is opening soon in downtown Temple. The new business will feature new boutique women's apparel and thrifted furniture and more.

Kids R Us

Finding childcare isn't always an easy task, and downtown Temple doesn't have a lot of childcare facilities nearby. Kids R Us will open soon as a childcare business and feature opportunities for parents to drop their children off for activities while they enjoy a date night in downtown Temple.

Precious Memories

17 N 2nd St.

Precious Memories showcased some of its exciting improvements that have happened and improvements that are in store for the business.

Hawn Plaza

3 N 2nd St.

The Hawn Plaza highlighted all the great improvements and restorations that are underway for the Arcadia Theater, Hawn Hotel, and Hawn West. 

Temple Children's Museum

11 N 4th St.

The business was able to share upcoming business plans and highlight some of the recent renovations that have been done to the building.

Bird Creek Brewing

8 S 4th St.

At the tour, Bird Creek Brewing was able to showcase the rehab and changes that have taken place to the building that will be the future home of Bird Creek Brewing. Expected to open soon, Bird Creek Brewing is expanding upon the business of Bird Creek Burger Co. Bird Creek Brewing will replace Bird Creek Burger Co. and offer the same great food with an addition of new brews, an outdoor beer garden, and an incredibly large expansion. 

Wreck Room & Art Dept.

14-16 S 4th St.

The tour stop showcased the rehab and repurpose of the building to make it the new home of a workshop, gallery, and rage room for local artists and makers. This business will be an excellent addition to the things to do and experiences in downtown Temple.

Weird Dough Cafe & Bakery

11 N 6th St.

Coming soon to downtown Temple is this charming and unique cafe and bakery. The local business will serve sandwiches, baked goods, drinks, and feature artwork by local artists.

Temple Public Library

110 W Adams Ave.

The Temple Public Library showcased its future business plans on the Imagine The Possibilities tour.

Mo's Bar & Grill

8-10 W Ave. B

The recently remodeled business has been transformed into a combination bar and grill, game room, and nightclub. 

Santa Fe Depot

315 W Ave. B

The reception start/launch site held information about possible restoration ideas for the MKT Depot.
