While you don't need a national day to enjoy a cold draft beer on a warm spring day, it does make for an excellent excuse to stop by one or two of your favorite local breweries. National Beer Day falls on April 7, 2023, and is a time of celebration for the continued merriment and good times that beer has brought around for years and years. Discover your local businesses and where to find the best draft or craft beer to celebrate today. 

Fire Base Brewing is located in Temple's downtown district at 8 S 1st St. Veteran-owned and operated, Fire Base Brewing Co. offers a unique experience with catchy names, fun events, and plenty of good beer to go around. Stop by this downtown business and try the Talk To Me Goose Cider, Celtic Warfare Nitro, Where Beagles Dare Pilsner, Fiddlers Green Pale Ale, and more. Fire Base Brewing has several beer options and wines from local wineries like Moose & Goose Winery and Dancing Bee Winery. On April 7, the local brewery will have Chock Full of Cheese food truck on-site and live music from 36 West Band.

FoxDog, Temple's friendly neighborhood beer garden located at 209 N 7th St, is the place to be for a great time in an inviting atmosphere with friendly faces and an assortment of craft beers. FoxDog is currently open on Fridays from 4:30 PM to 10 PM and Saturdays from 2 PM to 10 PM. This locally owned beer garden offers beer, wine, and the perfect blend of coffee. FoxDog features outdoor, patio seating that is perfect for a night out enjoying the warm weather Temple is known for. With great company comes great responsibility. Treno Pizzeria & Taproom is located at 112 S 1st St. Try out a tech-savvy taproom for National Beer Day. Start your tab and use the Treno Pizzeria & Taproom wristband to scan and pour one of the many beers that Treno's has to offer. You can pour as little or as much as you want and you'll pay at the end of your visit by the ounce poured. With a mix of over 30 domestic and craft beers, you are sure to find a beer you love at this downtown Temple business.

Bold Republic Brewing is located at 7070 Stonehollow Dr. This local brewery used to call Belton home before it moved to Temple and opened its doors in 2023. The brewery has craft beers, delicious food, and hosts events for all ages. The brewery has indoor and outdoor seating. Stop in and try a seasonal, themed beer or a Bold Republic Brewing beer that is among one of the local favorites. 

BJ's Brewery & Tasting Room is located at 602 E Central Ave. The brewery and tasting room crafts all of the beer for the BJ's restaurants through its downtown Temple brewery. 

Green Door On Second at 12 S 2nd St. offers all the draft beer options you need to enjoy a cold drink with friends. Green Door On Second has events scheduled throughout the week. Sip on a draft beer with karaoke on Thursdays and Saturdays, a live piano show every Friday, and trivia on Wednesdays.  

3 West Ale House is Temple's local sports bar and gastro pub located in West Temple at 7373 Honeysuckle. Grab a cold beer and delicious food on your next visit to celebrate National Beer Day. 3 West serves over 35 craft beers from around the world.
