(Temple, TX) – Temple Parks & Recreation is excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Father Daughter Dance presented by Extreme Cheer and Tumble! Dads and daughters will enjoy an extra special masquerade themed dance, while spending quality time together. The dance will be held on two nights, Friday, February 1st or Saturday, February 2nd, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center (3303 North 3rd Street) in Temple.
“For the last 20 years, we’ve watched as dads and daughters from Temple and the surrounding area get dressed up and dance the night away,” said Belinda Garcia, Coordinator for the Father Daughter Dance. “This year’s masquerade dance is going to be bigger and better than ever. We’ve added in some new features including a live party band as well as different ticket options that all the girls, as well as dads, will love.”
In addition, time has been set aside for fathers of special needs daughters to enjoy the festivities from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, should they choose to do so. Additional information and admission tickets for this special time may be obtained through the Children’s Special Needs Network by calling 933-7213.
Tickets can be purchased online beginning January 1st at TempleParks.com or at CentralTexasTickets.com. Tickets are extremely limited, so it is highly encouraged to purchase tickets early. Dads of all ages are welcome to attend, but all daughters must be 18 and under. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door. This year, three tier levels of tickets will be available:
Silver Ticket – $12:
Gold Ticket – $19:
Diamond Ticket – $30:
Each special young lady will receive a small gift upon arrival and everyone will enjoy a light dessert snack provided by Schlotzsky’s. Additional food and drink items will be available for purchase. Joe Olivares Photography will be onsite taking photos which will also be available for purchase. A live party band will provide music and entertainment throughout the dance.
This year’s dance is presented by Extreme Cheer & Tumble. Additional sponsors include Schlotzsky’s, Precious Memories Floral & Gift Shop, Vida Hair & Nails, West Temple Orthodontics and the City of Temple Parks & Recreation Department.
